Practice decision taking using e-simulations
e-simulations are a unique internet based series of
simulations that reproduce the main strategic decisions that need to be faced by teams in
order to make an enterprise succeed. These decisions are then put to the test in a
competitive environment where two teams are asked to apply their decisions over 5
simulated years.
A comprehensive range of different business scenarios is
available. Every e-simulation is totally unique. The decisions taken by one team have a
direct influence on the results of the other team and some parameters are varied at
random. Three levels of increasing complexity can be used for different audiences.
What are the uses of e-simulations?
- e-simulations provide insights into the decision process at
the strategic level, thus enabling all levels in an organisation to understand how their
organisation works.
- e-simulations provide an opportunity for team based
decision making in a pressurised, yet totally "risk" free environment. This,
with some additional facilitation, can provide a meaningful and challenging team
development event.
- Participants in e-simulations gain personal insights into
their own decision making, leadership, and team working methods, especially into how they
perform under relatively stressful conditions. This can be applied to selection and
development activities and to Training Needs Analysis.
- e-simulations meet your business needs in a challenging yet
very satisfying and fun way.
What are the benefits of e-simulations?
- Feedback on team results is instant.
- Teams need not be in the same location or even country!
This significantly reduces travel and accommodation costs.
- You only pay for what you use, just before you use it.
- The e-simulation can be adjusted to a modular approach,
allowing simulations to be part of larger learning events.
- Your own trainers can be trained to use e-simulations, and
integrate them into existing programmes.
- No equipment is required on site (other than Internet and
printing access for the team facilitators).
- The latest version of the documentation is always available
on line. There is no lead time to get material and nothing to store.
