Points to note: Each person is fully entitled to protect their personal space, and therefore the diagram above is and average view. In order to get into the blind spot, [how others see us] we need to get people to tell us how they perceive our behaviour. We need to learn how to receive feedback. The really interesting area here is the unknown "I did not know/think I could ever do that". This requires developing a trusting relationship with others, where we can safely drop our facade, and others can safely give us feedback. [without us feeling criticised] This is the role of a coach / mentor, each one of may benefit from having such a person available. What does your support network look like?
