An enthusiastic group of Berkshire 'Cup Champions' and Young Rugby Ambassadors gathered at Tadley RFC to discuss how to Engage Volunteers using the "F.A.S.T.E.R" model developed by Options With Learning Ltd.  The interactive session was facilitated by Carole Thelwall-Jones.

Andrew Harris, a member of the Area 2 Regional Activation & Legacy group, invited Carole to run the session.  After the event he praised her efforts, "Thank you for your very thought provoking presentation yesterday evening, I know it was appreciated by everyone."

The session was organised by Julian Rainford, Volunteer Coordinator, Berkshire RFU.  'Cup Champions' are rugby club volunteers have the energy and enthusiasm to bring new participants into rugby, welcome back lapsed players and create new networks.  Orginated by Nick Cole from Oxfordshire RFU, 'Cup Champions' are the catalysts for new ideas and new ways of doing things in rugby clubs.

Over the course of an hour, the participants explored ways to recruit, develop and thank sports volunteers.
